THE ART OF READING THE BIBLE

Chapter 14

The Laws of Life and the Ten Commandments

One of my friends wrote to me, up here on the mountain, that I shouldn’t forget to explain how The Bible points to the “legality” of the collective life, if I wrote about “the art of reading The Bible”. I think that Luther’s explanation should be sufficient, but I will gladly also give my explanation. In addition, I certainly have clearly stated my opinion in the explanation of the three temptations, and the Ten Commandments cover this in its own plain words.

The Ten Commandments, like “the temptations”, deal with uncontrolled human mental instincts. But up to now, I believe the world has understood the Commandments only as a moral sermon to individuals, and not as a natural law for the life of the society. Am I wrong?

We read the following in Exodus 20: 1 – 26:

1 And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon”. (Copied from the Bible.com Website).

Christ doesn’t throw out the laws of Moses, but He broadens and fulfills them because He fills the paragraphs of Moses with Spirit. You have heard this said to the old ones, but now I say this to you.

To kill with a weapon is one thing, but to murder with hate, words and swearing, and sabotage is much worse, because it is to murder with mental and spiritual weapons. Prostitution is only a minor side of the situation; but to prostitute the spirit, and deal with your soul, faith, and morals is much worse. Christ fulfills the paragraphs in the laws of Life by filling them with Spirit, so that they become living and creative, and no longer dead paragraphs.

When, for example, men from “the state” and princes look at “the Church” and its goods and desire her and her favors and good will, and fornicate with her, that is the same as the men from “the state” and princes committing adultery with her. When those in charge in “the Church” allow this to happen, then “the Church” itself has become a harlot.

When “the state” confiscated “the Church’s” property and put “her” on a salary, then a prophecy was fulfilled where it says: “Her meat shall ye eat”.

When the Church’s service against a permanent salary and “sure income” is in accordance with the state hedonistic religious and political life and way of looking at people, then the state’s clergy have become hired servants who are no longer interested in “the sheep”. “He no longer cares for the sheep”, says Christ in John 10: 12-13. Then the Church has become a harlot and is no longer interested in issues in society, i.e. the interests of “the “sheep” are no longer the interests of the Church, but have become the interests of “the state” and the politicians. That is calling fornicating in a spiritual way.

___________________________________

We will now take the 10 Commandments and try to fill them with Spirit, i.e. explain them in such a way that the Ten Commandments concern our total mental life.

3 – 6: Be careful that you don’t unknowingly agree with a false teaching of power, so that you forget that there is only one true and almighty God, the creative Spirit of truth. Don’t have your life consist of picture and fantasy embryos. Don’t believe in the power of the river sprite, in the power of Odin and Tor. Don’t believe in the power of “the state”, because there is no “statesman” who has any other power than that which is given by “the state” from the spirit of this time. Don’t believe in the power of money, because the power sits inside of your own uncontrolled fantasy of creation. Don’t believe in the power of weapons, because everything that takes up weapons, dies by weapons. Don’t believe in the power of organization, because no organization can turn black into white. Don’t believe in the “power of nature”, because no Spirit is supernatural, i.e. you want to rule over nature. Don’t believe in the power of the press, because it is only organized lies and understandings that create their own dissolution. (Involuntarily and unconsciously). Don’t believe in the power of the times and business cycles, or in the power of other demons, but understands that all the apparent uncontrolled “moods” of your demons only refer to everyone’s uncalculated “mental moods”. Remember that “inflation” and “deflation” only are a misleading way to rewrite, from the science of experience, “impulse” and “depulsion” (a driving or thrusting away), which mean respectively an optimistic and enthusiastic frame of mind as opposed to a depressing and disappointing frame of mind.

Be careful that you don’t add other “supernatural” phenomenon, that honor and power is only the province of the Spirit God. Be careful that foreign people don’t teach you to import uncontrolled fantasies from the people, or that you write falsely about the origin of the Creator and the whole world, so that you involuntarily receive Satan as your Father (= origin). (Please see John 8:44 – 45). Watch out for diabolism, or the involuntary worshipping of the devil in all of its unbelievable and believable forms.

7. You shall not calmly accept that the name of God and of Christianity is misused in invocations, in such a way, for example, to request God, the Almighty to protect weapons of murder, weapon factories, those who commit fratricide, and adulterators of life. If you do, you imprison the Holy Name and place holiness where it shouldn’t be, i.e. on top of all the swindling and delusion in the world. (Matthew 24:15). You need to understand that what you pray for, from the depth of your soul, you will receive. If you pray to God to protect warriors and hedonistic “statesmen”, then your prayers will be heard, without you knowing it or understanding what you have prayed for. Satan likes that you and all of society beg and beseech that your “statesmen” shall be victorious, because hell has no other power than that which comes from the most sincere faith of the people, their sacrifice and joy of giving. Therefore, if you or others find yourselves taking the name of God in vain and let the Devil loan the name of God, then you and your society have created your own hell.

The Spirit is all-powerful, whether it is the Spirit of Light or Darkness that rules on the temple mount and is worshipped by the masses. Therefore be careful that you don’t take the name of God in vain, because the Spirit of God cannot avoid finding you guilty if you mix up God and Satan. It is easy to see the difference in the fruits; both of them are creative.

Comment: I request the reader to notice how churchgoers and members of sects are on guard when they hear people “swearing”. It is ugly to swear, but it is seldom that it means anything except when we have to swear in court. Then it has a mental meaning in society. But the misuse of God’s name by “the church” and the sects in invocations has a large effect, in a large format, on their destiny. Think, for example, about the destiny of the Jews for more than 2000 years, when they swore: “May the blood of Christ come over us and our children”. The whole world is following the pattern of the Jews. Everyone wants the blood of Christ over themselves and their children.

8 – 11: In The Gospel a whole system is built up where the 6 days and the day of rest is only a small part. There were, for example, strict orders about interest free loans. All the loans should be drawn up to cover 6 years, and the seventh year was to be the respite year. After 7 x 7 such periods, it was the 50th year, and that was the “year of jubilation”. Then all the debt (= fortune) was paid by installments. All the built up capital was de-capitalized back to 0. Then it was a day of rest and partying all year long. Our worshipers of Mammon who “keep Sunday holy”, while the money multiplies on Sundays as well as every day, take the name of God and the whole Bible in vain.

Every society should have a day of rest. This was a good arrangement that was not opposed by Christ. However, when the Jews make a forced and Pharisee-type of “formality” out of this day of rest, then Christ protests in word and action. Isn’t life more than formalities? Since He knows that this old Law of Moses is based on “the legend” that the Creator “rested on the seventh day”, He makes it very clear that creation continues and that “My Father has worked thus far and I am working”. (John 5:17). The grain grows and matures both on Sunday and everyday, and the conventional and social ordinances should not be taken so literally and pedantically as if they were laws of life. We make all the conventions ourselves. The laws of life can only be noted, but we haven’t made them ourselves. This is what Christ is referring to when He corrects the Pharisees for their pedantry on Sunday and when He says: “Why do you break the commandments of God by your traditions?” (Matthew 15:3) The Savior clearly says here that we have to differentiate between Commandments from God, the laws of life, on one side, and our many conditional regulations, on the other side. It is a miserable sight to sit in a county court or a “state”/national court and notice how “smart people” are making regulations for each other.

The third Commandment, therefore, is more a sub-section in one of Moses’ very thoughtfully prescribed social systems, than it is really a law of life. The laws of life aren’t interested in formality, but in the joy of working and natural rest.

12. Our relationship to father and mother, and other family considerations is often similar our relationship to the day of rest. A long life is not absolutely that attractive for a believer. A person who believes in the right way is not always thinking about if everything is “going well for him”, when what is important is that he is building on a solid foundation. It is all the fearful dreamers who are suffering from fear of death and fear of life who are so anxious for their own skin. Salomon certainly doesn’t ask for things or a long life, and God answers him: “Since you have desired wisdom and not desired many days, and not desired riches, and not desired the lives of your enemies, but have desired understanding…..” then God will listen to him.

In the 4th Commandment, Moses speaks to the ordinary people. Salomon speaks to the positive people – i.e. all people who are different from the usual type of person who are somewhat lazy and want to live for a long time. The teachings of Christ have to do with us being too tied to our relatives and families. That’s why He says: “ Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Then he stretched out His hand toward His disciples, and said: “See. This is my mother and my brothers. Whomsoever does the Will of My Father in heaven, He is My brother, sister, and mother”.

All of us would have wanted to be in the band of disciples. That was the correct and real family relationship, where the Spirit of Truth bound people together. The family relationship of the flesh, which Moses writes about, is based on the patriarchal Jewish society, which is less important for the Savior. We see this even stronger in Luke 14 that is mentioned earlier: “Who doesn’t hate his father or mother…..”, etc.

We hear very little about the relationship between the Savior and his earthly parents after He was grown. By the time He was 12 years old He showed signs of growing away from the sentimental relationship with His mother, because the life of the Spirit in the temple had caught His interest. When He was on the cross, He comforts His mother by referring to the disciple whom He loved most, and says: “Woman, behold thy son”! (John 19: 26).

Not even then does He say “mother” to her. This has surely required much spiritual strength? He speaks to His mother in the same way when she is at a wedding in Canaan: “Woman, what do I have to do with you? My time has not come yet”. (John 2:4) We can say about the same thing about the 4th Commandment, as we did about the 3rd: “You have heard it said to the old ones, but I say it also to you…” because now we shall go further in growth and development.

If the educated men from the Church “remove” the Old Testament, then they will also immediately remove the third and fourth Commandments, and there will be little left of these two Commandments in the New Testament.

If anyone (young people) creates unreasonable conflicts with father, mother, and siblings after this, they can’t blame it on our interpretation of The Bible, but have to bear the guilt and responsibility alone, if they do this unreasonably! Learn to figure out what the “tower” will cost that you want to build without father and mother, and remember that the Light that you believe you have, is a treasure in a ceramic vase. Be careful that you don’t break the “ceramic vase” and be disappointed, and be a disappointment for others. It is costly to be a disciple of Christ! The person who lives superficially doesn’t yet know the powers that can be inside of them. It takes time to learn to know yourself. It demands great self-discipline.

13. You shall not kill other people, neither their body nor soul. When the Norwegian Nazi Party introduced capital punishment into Norway, the “civil war” began that no one has yet seen the end of.

This is not a conventional regulation made by people, such as capital punishment and other punishments. The 5th Commandment is one of automatic laws of life that provide that they are observed. Killing other people is a “boomerang”. Whoever uses violent methods is building on illusions, and continuing to do this will have a negative reaction on those who began it.

I don’t know how science, after many thousands of years of experience can call themselves “experiential science”, when they haven’t “experienced” this law of life. All the histories of the world societies show this. I wrote a letter to Norway’s “Minister of Justice”, where I tried to show this. But I knew ahead of time that I was writing for deaf ears! The “Norwegian Nazi Party” is still asleep. You can see this by “the leader’s” expressions and by his methods and actions. Just in case anyone would doubt my “good will”, I am including the total correspondence regarding this matter. Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of my first letter, but the second one is sufficient. The letters speak for themselves.

Mr. B. Dybwad Brochmann!

Thank-you for your letter of February 2, which I read with great interest. Are you aware, dear Dybwad Brochmann, that neither the German authorities nor the Norwegian Nazi Party in no way use “capital punishment because of politically divergent opinions”? (This was my expression from a former letter - BDB).

The situation is that our opponent has unfolded an extensive criminal activity that has up to now been unknown in Norway – with bombings and murder of both innocent and comrades-in-arms. We have resisted fighting back for a long time. However, when one brave fighter after another is shot down from behind, this cannot continue. Enough is enough!

I cannot promise much from our many counter-measures, but some effect will they have. We have only used them against those who are guilty. If we mean anything with our point of view and our struggle, I cannot understand how we can continue to sit with our hands folded in our lap, and allow our people to be shot down, without doing something.

Sincerely yours,

Sverre Riisnæs

-------------

Mr. Justice Minister Sverre Riisnæs,

Oslo.

Thank-you for your kind answer of February 21, as well as for your good help.

Knut Vinje recently telegraphed me from Bardufoss: “Everything is fine”. So I assume that he is on his way to his farm. The officer in charge in Bardufoss didn't read the papers of his pardon made by General Rediess, and I think this was worthy of recognition.

I understand that your inquiry speeded up arranging Vinje’s case, and we in Voss are very thankful for that.

Now we will discuss the death penalties. These have been abolished since my earliest childhood. I am a boy from Rødnes in Østfold and I remember the Rødnes murderer, who was the first one for whom Oscar II was going to sign the death sentence. He was pardoned, and we Norwegians have since thrown out the death penalty until my good, old friend Eilifsen was sentenced to death by the Norwegian Nazi Party. Apparently this was because he wasn’t obedient to the party? (This is what I was told and I can’t understand that you are correct in the way you look at this matter).

Did Eilifsen and Dr. Sæthre unfold some kind of extensive criminal activity?

Pardon me if I ask a private question, but I would be thankful to learn a little more about the examples that you mentioned here. I felt both of them were very good citizens; their shooting has deeply affected our people.

Political murder certainly didn’t happen in Norway before the Germans introduced their methods and the German sense of justice? I don’t know where this will end. Experience has taught me that when you see the speck in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own, then that “extension”, or call it development, can cause great and “unexpected” results. This is exactly because people have only seen with one eye.

I very clearly told the founder and leader of the Norwegian Nazi Party, from when it started in 1933, that the Norwegian people could never be won over with German methods of provocation. I thought especially about the Norwegian Communists and about the Norwegian farmers, and about all of the tough, stubborn, but good-natured mentality of the Norwegian people, which is  quite different from the mentality of  warm-blooded and quick-tempered German people. We even had caricature artists who amused the public by drawings of what the “Norwegian Nazi Party” unconsciously and involuntarily would be establishing, namely civil war. It is very sad to hear now that the fire of civil war has been lit in all of the occupied countries. This danger also now unquestionably threatens Norway since Norwegians have sentenced Norwegians to death.

When we warned the Norwegian Nazi Party about the logical order of things as far as what we could “prophesize”, as it’s called, I don’t think they correctly understood us. I have always meant that the Norwegian Nazi Party meant well, but the good they want can’t become reality until the order and legality of life is acknowledged and obeyed.

If the Germans had used a little psychology, they would have followed the Norwegian sense of justice, instead of the German one, in Norway. Since they mean to be able to see the difference in blood, then it should have been easy to see the difference between the thick, slow-flowing Norwegian blood and quite a different blood type like the quick-cooking German?

Don’t you agree?

Daily we see in the newspapers how the Germans honor and distinguish all the German patriots who have shown courage and bravery, but at the same time they imprison and punish Norwegian patriots who take this German propaganda seriously. It’s almost as if the Germans didn’t know that all healthy and hardy people and nations have patriotic feelings that are easily awakened and inflamed.

When I read German propaganda, I always get the unpleasant feeling that Germans mean that they are the only ones to have national pride and love for their fatherland.

If I had been the German head of propaganda, I would have ordered the strictest caution as far as awakening and agitating the emotions that you preferably want to remain undisturbed.

It is important for the Germans to be as careful as possible with their propaganda to not appeal to chauvinism and patriotism in all the occupied countries. The “children” who misbehaved anyway should be sent to “kindergarten” for upbringing, but not put up against the wall as targets, so they became “saints”.

“Canonizing” the idealists of society is not the same as using a canon on them. The Germans continue to achieve the opposite result of what they want. A “European Common Destiny” is not established in that way.

This involuntary ambivalence in German behavior and propaganda is ruining everything for them. They have also burned and rejected Freud’s work: “Totem and Taboo”, the reason being that if the correct orientation to life was discovered by a Jew, it has to be incorrect.

In Hitler’s own book, he maintains that the masses or “commoners” don’t need to think. All you need to do is to follow your emotions and to receive appropriate entertainment.

Practically speaking, the German police demand a fairly large portion of intelligent reflection and quite a bit of thought from every Norwegian boy.

Where is this going? Well, it goes in the direction that you yourself, dear Minister Riisnæs, and fellow Norwegians both have stated and regretted.

I totally admit my inadequacy. In spite of thousands of speeches and publishing 140,000 books at my own publishing house – I have not been able to sufficiently awaken consciousness and thoughtfulness so that this could have been avoided. I have a long life of experience in my struggle against the Communists and the infantile tendency in my lifetime. My experience is that provocation and terror, and hermetic closing of free and fearless thinking and spontaneous manifestations of life will never or can never lead to good results, even if all the canons, tanks, airplanes, and navies of the world are available to those who accept such a misleading ideology and way of living life.

The choice and the use of those kinds of things and methods in social pedagogy, just discloses a severe lack of knowledge regarding life’s own, inherent dynamics. Berlin unfortunately seems to look like Moscow on this important point. In Norway we had come rather far ahead of the people in the larger nations; now we are unfortunately working backwards.

Dear Minister Riisnæs! Let all of this be an honest Norwegian man’s sincere words to you about this situation. Let this be private between us. I feel it is hopeless to try to straighten out what is happening now. Similarly I feel that it is also hopeless to try to get the infantile Germans to understand. Please look at Terboven’s answer to Sweden, that completely documents that the old Roman and Roman Catholic way of thinking still lives in Europe.

People will continue to sentence each other to death until their children learn to understand the misunderstanding. Those who sabotage are only the kind of people who in frustration and confusion grab hold of what’s at hand. They don’t have military methods and supplies. When the saboteurs “legalize” their methods, they are only drawing attention to the fact that the military authorities are legalizing theirs. On both sides, the opponent’s actions are called “murder” and “robbery” and “crimes”, while they energetically try to maintain that one’s own methods are “legal”, “necessary”, and “legitimate”. This is an old lesson, so old that the history of mankind, therefore, seems unspeakably tiring. This long letter is not written to cause you more difficulties, but only because I hope you can keep these thoughts in your heart. You will surely see that this is quite representative of the real situation.

Sincerely yours,

B. Dybwad Brochmann

Who can keep track of the number of all the “ideal societies” that people wanted to establish with violence? Not one single society established in that way has survived. Why? Just to say that violence leads to violence, is not a sufficient explanation; a better explanation is “the dance around the golden calf” mentioned in The Pentateuch.

Societies established with violence cannot survive, because the reason people felt forced into using violence, is reason enough that you are going down the wrong path. When people agree on something incorrect (and put utopias in the system, as for example “the great powers in Europe), then they will fight. “Every country that is” (unconsciously) in disagreement within the country, “is not united in itself, will be ruined”. This is because the inner, hidden mistake and incorrectness unconsciously has doubts about how long it can continue, and unconsciously admits the utopian in it s character, and that’s why they take to violence. On the surface they all think that they’re right. Therefore history’s idealists are acting in good faith. Gustav Adolf, king of Sweden, meant it was a good thing to bring Protestant Christianity to Germany. The result was a warlike, German Christianity.

King Olav, the Holy meant well by the way he introduced “true Christianity” to Norway. The result was that the Norwegian people combined discord, quarreling, and violence with true Christianity.

The court of Rome had an understanding of justice, which included “the death penalty”, because it would scare people from committing murder. All the criminal statistics show the opposite is the case.

England probably had good intentions by introducing The Bible and canons with all the people of the world, but the result was world war.

The legalities of life are unyielding. The Spirit of God doesn’t step in and hinder a King Olav or a King Gustav Adolf from practicing false, well-meant Christianity. However, the Spirit of God is transmitted from both of them to the masses and the consequences follow thereafter. Today the whole world is begging God for peace. However they are calling to a God that doesn’t exist. Their way of thinking and acting is that war is always created against their will. That is why God is unyielding. They are calling to a spiritual power “that was a murderer from the beginning”. (John 8:44).

What they are unknowingly sowing in word and thought, they are harvesting, without being sensitive enough to “experience” that they are all headed in the wrong direction. If God had been a man up in the clouds, He would have listened to the world a long time ago, and gripped in with undeniable signs, just as the people have been asking. “An evil and unfaithful family will not receive other signs than from the prophet Jonas”. Christ was the only sign they received. Christ taught us the truth that there is spirit in us that decides over war and peace. You shall not worship, pray to, honor and love any other God or omnipotence. O ye of little faith!

-----------------------------------------------------

We see then that the 5th Commandment is a law of life. It is a “paragraph” that tells us the truth about the eternal dynamics or autonomy that is made known in our own ideals and instincts. If these are oriented around truth, then we have peace. If these instincts and ideals go the wrong way, then we can never avoid war, in all its forms. The instincts of delusion punish themselves. No God is judging you. Christ isn’t judging you. It is your own spirit of here and now that is judging you. If you admit this, then you understand the law of life that is the 5th Commandment.

14. You shall not commit adultery. If you do, you are sinning against yourself. However, if you commit adultery of the Spirit and fornicate with the falsehoods of life, you will ruin the whole society in which you are living. You shall be true to yourself first. You should never keep quiet and agree when unjust things are happening. The actions of one of my friends caused him to lose quite a bit and he lost “a good and sure income” as director of one of Oslo’s largest and finest hotels. Why? He didn’t agree with the rest of management about the dismissal of a poor waiter, who in reality had just been doing his job. He didn’t want to be a part of injustice. After that he went bankrupt, and “things didn’t go well for him”, according to conventional evaluations. In the eyes of God, he did the right thing. His example gave others and me a great deal of faith and strength. He didn’t want to “fornicate” with injustice for money. May he be blessed.

The rest of management immediately thereafter sold themselves and their deepest convictions, and became the hired servants of hedonism for 150,000 crowns per year.

I hope they enjoy themselves.

If you are not faithful toward the best in yourself, then it is foolishness to think that you are faithful toward your husband or your wife.

This is the mental legality/lawfulness the Savior knows and points to when He speaks about the 6th Commandment. He inspires the Commandment and fills it with Spirit. If you have been faithful in small things, then you will pass over the larger things. God will blow on the little spark of Spirit that is within you, if you are faithful toward that little spark, and don’t sell your soul, like the harlot sells her body as a pastime or for sexual release for those who need her.

This subject is discussed so many other places in this book, so what is said here is sufficient.

15. Thou shalt not steal – for many reasons:

1. When you steal, you develop a feeling of inferiority about yourself, which will cost you a lot in the long run.

2. You increase your life’s companion’s incorrect view of human nature and collect grist for the mill for all those who slander the nature of people.

3. You disturb the mutual trust that is a mental-biological condition of life for the holy life of the community.

4. You create disharmony in the harmonious interaction.

5. You hurt, disappoint, sadden, and annoy your life companions.

6. You increase the influence of the states’ heathenism, and the police run away with the trust and love that you could have attained for yourself.

7. You deprive yourself of a good chance to develop your self-control and self-confidence.

8. You missed a good chance to ask your neighbor for help.

9. You make yourself and your society poorer. The person, who doesn’t collect and build, tears down and divides.

There are many more mental aspects to thievery and “kleptomania”, which we shall not discuss here. What we have discussed is enough to show that this also has to do with laws of life, and that those who break the laws will be “punished”.

The 7th Commandment is a much more conventional rule. The thief, both the thief who is conscious and unconscious, is a negative factor in the total management of the society. He steals from his neighbor, but he steals and robs from his own inner self much more than the costs of thievery are worth.

16. Lying about people is one of the greatest dangers and temptations of mankind. This often happens when people try to make themselves look better.

It seems quite automatic that people would “stay away from” friends who lied. Whoever goes around with lies, this is often called “causerie” (which means slander), punish themselves more in the long run. We have at least come so far that we react properly when people we know lie to us.

It is worse when the Pharisees in the Church lie about themselves and about us. It often happens unconsciously and is considered good character, and a sign of very sincere Christianity, when one says to the other: “Oh, I am so sinful”. This often just becomes habit. It usually is very good or otherwise moral people who unconsciously lie and think that God really appreciates that kind of slandering of oneself.

But the worst is when there is false testimony when parties and sects, the Church communities, and the daily press put the false testimony in the system “because of expediency”. People lie deliberately because they think that the lie is appropriate and promotes victory and success for law and justice.

People still don’t react, because they have learned to believe in something they call “the teachings about reconciliation”. People have acquired a dualistic, i.e. a two-sided moral, which allows the impersonal individual, “the state”, “the party”, “the institution”, “the “lawyer”, “the press”, etc. to commit all of the violations against the Commandments and the laws of life that are forbidden for the individual and private sinner. “The state” and institution can lie, lend money at dishonest rates, steal, deceive, murder, etc. on a large scale. Parties, organizations, “national health insurance offices”, “national insurance”, “social security”, ‘congregations”, etc. can do what they will, because they are “taboo”.

A taboo is a holy being whose greatness and holiness consists of “the taboo” being able to commit all of the most shameful and most unmoral actions that an individual can be punished for committing.

The daily press can report something as incorrectly as it will, without being held responsible, because “the press has a lot of power”. “Great and powerful are you, Mister Taboo”.

If we expect the 7th Commandment to be observed by “statesmen”, journalists, committee representatives and lawyers, pastors and judges, in the same way that we in private life must follow it, then all of the “taboos” will quickly lose their power. It is the thoughtless faith and dualistic morality of the people that gives them all their power – “from above”.

Certainly no one means that the great, organized falsehoods of life and lies from society get their power from God? They get all their power from Satan, who also is a Spirit in us – the spirit of thoughtlessness.

If your newspaper tells lies, don’t advertise in it or subscribe to it. Express your opinions and get others to do the same thing. Keeping quiet about the truth is a sin against the Spirit! This is the worst kind of sin.

Sabotaging the Spirit of truth was all that the Norwegian press did before April 9, 1940. (On this date Germany occupied Norway, and they remained in the country for 5 years). The men of “the Church” saw this and kept quiet. People still believed in “the current society” and turned their bitter and careworn faces upward when “the Lord God gave us into the hands of the Philistines” on April 9. That’s when the law of life was fulfilled. You shall not give false testimony about your neighbor. “Dagbladet” (a daily newspaper published in Oslo) and the rest of the Oslo press specialized every day in slandering the private person and the private quack (so-called imposter), while at the same time they praised the big quacks and admired all of the public lies and negligent acts.

The wrath of God became inflamed toward the Norwegian people because of the lies and negligent acts, sabotaging the truth and the fear of the truth, the lack of will to be involved with the Light, and slandering human nature. The “Norwegian” Broadcasting Network lied on the airwaves, and at the same time “devotional” services were held on the radio and the name of God was taken vain.

For at least 10 years I said to myself in the privacy of my chamber, to God and to my friends and life companions: “If this can continue for a long time, if something unusual doesn’t happen soon, then there is no God in heaven or on earth, because then all the teachings in The Bible about the holy law and the order of life aren’t reality”.

This was the degree that I understood the 8th Commandment; that it was an invariable law of life, and its use would show that is was valid.

Then the lies about life came from the outside - from Geneva, from London, Berlin and Moscow, from Tokyo and New York, from Oslo and Copenhagen - and set fire to everything.

Do people now believe that empirical science reaps these experiences? The harvest is really big, but I’m looking around for the people doing the harvesting.

Those who lied about life in Oslo traveled to London and continued to lie on the radio from there.

The ax that had been for a long time lying at the root of our Norwegian society wasn’t even “experienced” or “discovered” until it started chopping away. Nobody seemed to understand what had really happened in our country.

17. As the reader will see, we have divided the 9th Commandment in our catechism into two parts, so that we now have 10 Commandments. In that way we avoid or overlook the 10th Commandment, which is in Exodus 24. Exodus 23 and 24 are closely related to the first Commandment in Verse 3. If you are not to worship foreign gods and not make any false gods next to the only true God in life, then you shouldn’t build stone altars either. When we swing our hammer over the stone, then we are desecrating it, as it says in verse 25.

The entire 9th Commandment in verse 17 should not be divided, but seen as one. It deals very clearly with our instincts and desires in life.

What is happening with our society and us when we desire each other’s property?

1. We are embittering our entire existence because thanksgiving and the joy of life are being replaced by jealousy and bitterness against our life companions who have come further than we have.

2. Envy and hate, reluctance to work instead of joy of working. Interdependence and brotherhood are replaced by class differences and fictitious special interests.

3. Special interests are organized and put into the system, chalked up to joint housekeeping, and chance, peoples’ burdens and passions are raised up to politics, to bitter “necessities”, and are looked at as “the hard realities of life”, in spite of it all being artificial and made up “reality”, just like the altar you built of stone for the honor of God, that you have also made up.

4. When the desire for your neighbor’s things becomes cultivated as an accepted, good, and natural form for living your life, then a false reality appears before any experience that dazzles and deceives everything and everybody. “The problems” multiply like lice in a pigsty.

The 9th Commandment is neither a religious nor human commandment! It is simply a correct acknowledgement of life. It is an expression for an autonomous legality. Every society in the history of man that has broken the 9th Commandment has without fail been dissolved. Even an old heathen senator in ancient Rome stated this fact shortly before the fall of the Roman Empire. “The head doesn’t agree with the stomach or the legs”, he said and compared the Roman “state” society with the human body.

Violation of the 9th Commandment always has the most terrible consequences for every society. In the future if any civilized society experiences that the behavior with one or more groups begins to express itself in class struggle and desire after the neighbors’ goods, then I would advise that society to follow the words of Jesus: Let the poor have everything the rich own without deduction immediately. This would be ten thousand times cheaper than for everyone to elevate the desire in the people to “politics” and “community government”, which just is and always will be a caricature of what it should have been.

Why do the “classes who own so much now” hold on so tightly to their possessions? Maybe they like people to be envious of them?

If that’s the case, I hope you’re enjoying yourself. Many times in my life I have left everything I owned behind me, and begun again with two empty hands, but with a head full of new plans and of creative thoughts. I have seen many others do the same thing. I have also seen many who lost everything and were very blessed by it.

Being afraid for your existence belongs to Satan. If you want to cure people from being hypnotized by the idea that money creates happiness, you can give them money so that they have money up to their eyebrows.

When I read the 8th and 9th Commandments in the parliament, they laughed at me and asked if I didn’t know that the Commandments were religion! I didn’t believe that then, and I don’t believe it now. The Commandments are the “natural laws” in the Spirit life of the world. The Ten Commandments in The Bible contain the truth about human society’s natural mental-biological laws of life, and no pastor on this earth can make me doubt the causality or casual connection between the two. I also tried to explain this at the Bergen Ministerial Association, but they didn’t believe it, because God’s word about the learned men’s interpretation of The Bible should verify itself.

Our readers will certainly see that Commandments 8 and 9 are connected with the dance around the golden calf, and that all of the commandments are connected to the three main temptations Jesus talked about. In fact, it’s fairly correct and natural that the Savior combines all 10 Commandments together to 2 great Commandments, which express the law of reciprocity and the correct mental condition, i.e. to say the laws and order for life in 2 small simple statements.

We find them in Matthew 22: 35 – 40:

35 “Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets”.

In our society we seem to have a problem with loving and respecting ourselves. Just as we are disdainful toward ourselves, and are involved with lies and fiction, we do the same thing to our neighbor, before we have any information. The teachings from “the Norwegian Lutheran Church” basically say the following: Next to your bankbook and your admirable public government, you should love and worship God – especially on Sundays. With the same amount of eager disdain for the humanity in yourself, to the same degree should you not need to love and respect your neighbor, because love of self is a burden, and generosity and dedication to self devotion (especially the income tax return) are correct. Your self-love is largely what all of the Roman statutes and the book of laws is built on.

For the normal confirmation student it must seem like heresy when we assure them that the Savior has encouraged us to love ourselves and to greatly appreciate our neighbor and ourselves. When we add that people need to be careful with dedication, because they can easily worship false gods, and especially they need to watch out for “the leaven” from the learned men, so we can understand that it would be difficult for them to believe us?

In The Bible’s story about the Ten Commandments it appears that a violent thunderstorm has come between the 9th and 10th Commandments. Look at Exodus 18 and 21. Maybe this was fortunate for Moses since the thunder created anxiety and trembling in the masses?

It looks like the people in the time of Moses had a similar understanding of thunder as we here in northern Europe, when we believed that the mythological god, Tor, was furiously driving around in the clouds.

“Farmer, watch what you do, keep things in order,

until the Åsgardsrei (a company of ghosts who ride through the air on horseback, especially at Christmas time, sweeping human beings along with them)”.

Those kinds of natural phenomenon have always increased respect for the gods, and for the need to offer and for generosity to mollify the gods. Maybe that was when Moses first was inspired concerning the 10th Commandment and the correct altar for the Lord?

21. An altar of earth is correct. Now no one should misunderstand me by thinking I mean that we sacrifice to God when praise God by cultivating the earth. The main reason we cultivate the earth is because we are thinking about food for ourselves. We love ourselves in the correct way if we can just avoid the spawn from hell coming and forcing us to cultivate the earth in praise of Mammon.

If it often looks like we are cultivating the earth to get food for the animals, for example to the cow, but that’s just the way it looks. We speculate in the cow, and organize the sheep with the lead one having a bell on it so the sheep will stay together and come voluntarily down to the slaughter bank in the fall. We clip the wool from the sheep so we can have good, warm clothes. We arrange the sheep with the bell according to ”the leader for fifty” and “the leader for one thousand”, so that we can have control over them and “tax” them, as we will. It certainly is correct to organize cattle breeding and agriculture to satisfy our needs, our instinct to provide for ourselves, and our reproductive instincts. The sin and accident happen when we count, register, and organize people in order to tax them and clip them, and elevate ourselves to the lead sheep with the bell in order to mobilize people for war and lead them to the slaughter bank as “sheep”. Then the earth and cultivating of the earth is no longer an altar to true worship of God. Then we have borrowed “foreign gods” and then we put all of Norway’s farmers in “the state” barn in order to clip them, and to lead their sons and daughters to the battlefields or into the high rise offices so that they can be the leader for fifty and the leader for one thousand, as it says in the Chronicle books, after the people had abandoned God’s legality and order. Read 1 Chronicles 23: 3 – 5 and you will see a clear picture of today’s “Great Oslo”.

Now we see that the 1st Commandment, to make the earth and cultivate the earth, fisheries and wood conversion to the correct altar for the cultivation of the God of Life, also is one of the great laws of life or mental-biological laws of society or natural laws, which we are shown in The Bible, if we read it correctly. You can decide for yourself who has the responsibility for the false evaluation of life that drives the peoples’ youth into the schools making them all so possessed by earning money and getting powerful positions. It is certain that our people worship foreign gods and symbols. We can only say as the Savior did: “Woe to them from where scandal comes” or “It had been better with a millstone around the neck…” etc.

------------------------------------------------------------

I hope that the examples in this chapter will be sufficient to give my readers some assistance when they try to read and understand mankind’s Bible. It is extremely important that we ask God for more “spark”. If there is a little spark of Spirit and good inspiration in you, it will make your Father and Creator happy if you use that spark and let it develop into a living fire in your soul! Just hear how The Bible writes about you and me, and how I have tried to do the same with the Light I have received from The Bible and mental research.

Don’t forget that all of the Mosaic Law’s 10 Commandments, except the 3rd and 4th Commandments, have to do with the relationships that we and our society expose ourselves to when we fall into the three main temptations that Jesus experiences and points to. The three temptations describe our mental instincts and the automatic satanic impulses or inspirations inside of us. That is why all 8 Commandments of the Mosaic Law say the following to the instincts: “Thou shalt not”. The 3rd and 4th Commandments belong to the human provisions and therefore have the positive form: “Thou shalt remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, thy shall honor thy father and mother….” All of the other 8 Commandments have the negative form: “Thou shalt not”. The Savior says the following: “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God, but serve Him alone”.

God outside of us cannot be tempted, but the Spirit of God inside of us is vulnerable for temptation. We can easily go astray and give into temptation, and then all of the crimes against the laws of life arise that the 8th Commandment in the Mosaic Law talks about.

In the next two chapters, we shall see examples about how The Bible should not be read.

The first example I have taken on purpose from an artistic nature, a well-known artist, Georg Brandes. The other example is from a learned and pious theologian, whom I knew definitely wanted to be truthful and be piously sincere, and had quite a bit of artistic sense in his soul. The following examples will confirm that they both read and understood The Bible incorrectly.
